Age 77 of Omaha. Born in Hebron, NE. Preceded in death by her parents, Norine and Frank Ziegler; and her sister Frankie Gebers. Survived by Max, her husband of 54 years; 8 children, Michael (Mary), St. Paul, MN, Christopher (Judith), Angela, Max (Susan), Ann Gray, all of Omaha, Katrina (Douglas) Kisgen, Lenexa, KS, Thomas, and Rachel (James) Burns, Omaha; 25 grandchildren, Etsegenet, Dagamawit, Meheret Burbach; Erin and Eli Nygren Burbach; Justin Combs, Kristen and Nicole Denman; Margaret, Joe and Hannah Burbach; Ashley, Alexis, Amos and Adam Gray; Cassandra, Alexander, Joseph, Olivia and Thomas Kisgen; Max and Will Burbach-Domeyer; and Samantha, Braeden and Gabrielle Burns; 2 great grandchildren, Ariana and Jacob; and 2 brothers, Gerald and John Ziegler, both of Scottsdale, AZ. Jeannine always said she was the mother of 8 "only" children, and grammy of 27 "onlies." She loved her family, her friends, mysteries, birds and all of nature. Her heart went out to the least among us. She never stopped giving, and she never will.
VISITATION Monday 5-7pm, with 7pm Wake Service at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. FUNERAL MASS Tuesday 1:30pm at St. Thomas More Catholic Church (4804 Grover St., Omaha, NE 68106). Max, I was so sorry to hear about Jeannine's passing. I spent 12 years of school with her. I'd only just got to meet up with her again via the internet & now she's gone. I shall miss her notes to me. Prayers for you & your family ...

I miss you mama, but I feel your presence often and I know that just b/c I can't touch or see you it doesn't mean that you're not here. You exist in the call of the cardinals, and the buds of the trees. You live on in the smiles, the tears, the thoughts, the prayers, and the laughter of all of us who loved you so dearly in life, and who will continue to love you far beyond the veil of death. It it like you so often used to say - death cannot break the bonds of love that exist between people; relationships don't end, they change. I was so blessed to have known you - you weren't a perfect mother and I was by no means a perfect daughter but I was yours and you were mine and that will continue to be so far beyond the end of time. Loving and missing you always, mom.

Burbach Family, I will always have the fondest memories of Jeannine (Mrs. Burbach). It is a blessing to have known her while growing up. I am sorry for your loss. Wishing all of you strength during this time.

Jeannine will be missed. She was truly a bright sparkling light. I thoroughly enjoyed our few chats together. She had a point of view and wan't afraid to let it be known. She made me smile.
She will be remembered in a daily mass with deceased Brother Knights and their wives at St. Mary's Church in New Haven, CT where the Knights of Columbus was founded in 1882 by Fr. Michael J. McGivney.

I was so sorry to learn of the passing of your wife,mother,grandma and grt. grandma.She was indeed a special lady.I would see her outside checking on her garden or flowers when I was at the swimming pool next door.You knew she was a nature lover!The scriptures were of comfort to me when I lost my Mother- in- law.Especially the quote from Psalm 23:The Lord is my shepherd, there is nothing I want,he leads me into green pastures.....

A great friend, beginning in 1st grade, has died. What a gift to me and to anyone who also was gifted to know Jeannine. She knew the meaning of God in her life. Material "things" were not a high priority for her but sensitivity to those in need were definitly of clear focus. I shall miss her.
