Age 57 - April 3, 2021

Passed away after a 9 year cancer battle. Survived by son, Jack Henry Dreith; and ex wife, Mindy Dreith, of Naples, FL; father, David J. Dreith; mother, Karen Kahland; sisters, Debra Dreith Holst and Christine Dreith, all of NE; nephews, Jacob and wife Stephanie Holst, Dillon Holst and Connor Holst. Preceded by step-mother, JoAnne (Clark) Dreith. Originally from Ralston NE, Jon has been a resident of Naples, FL for 20 years.

A Private, Family Celebration of Life Service took place Friday, April 9th at Palm Royale Cemetery in Naples. In lieu of flowers, please donate to cancer research or a charity of your choice in Jon's honor. For online condolences, please visit www.fullernaples.com.

I didn´t realize Jon passed away almost 3 years ago. I am in a little shock in seeing his passing when I googled his name to see how he was doing. I met Jon in HighSchool at a wonderful church youth group and would run into him after HighSchool every once in a while. I loved reconnecting on Facebook with Jon and seeing his wonderful son and Jon hanging out at his beautiful home. Jon was very kind and had a strong faith in God. I am saddened to see Jon´s passing but have faith he is in a better place.

Jon, you were such a light in so many lives. I know you loved and were so proud of Jack who was growing so tall just like you, you beautiful soul. We sort of grew up together and my biggest regret is I wasn't able to take you up on your invitation to the Husker Superbowl several years ago. Jon and I were friends in the early 80s, right after high school..we worked at UNMC together.. although I have not heard or seen him in a long time, I always remember him when I drive by the house at 78th and near pacific.God Bless jons family.

My heart is saddened for all Jon’s Family and friends. He was a bright light to many.
I met Jon for the first time about 38 years ago at the Upstairs of Howard Street Tavern listening to Joe King Curasco and The Crowns play. From that day forward we were connected through the love and passion of music while living in Omaha. We had kept in touch all these years with conversations that revolved mostly around music and how it moves us and carried us through various chapters of our lives. (and family lake lovin’ stories)
