Our thoughts and prayers to Joe's family. Growing up I remember his trademark beard and long hair and always a smile! He will be missed.

I was sorry to hear the sad news about Joe. He will be missed by his family and all his friends. Jerry and I chose Joe as Godfather for our son, Doug (along with Patti as Godmother). As a child growing up in Omaha, Joe was very good to Doug. He gave Doug several sets of Lincoln Logs and till this day our Grandchildren are still playing with those Lincoln Logs!! We have recalled Joe many times as we watched them passed along. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

On behalf of my sister, Vivi Ann Filipcic and their children, may I say thank you to all who have expressed their fond remembrances and thoughts of consolation.
The memorial service and funeral service were wonderful. I appreciated the comments of those who shared a bit of their life experience with Joe. It added to my own fond remembrances of Joe as a Husband, good Son, proud Father, great cook, and person who never ceased to amaze me with the vastness of his knowledge - both textbook and practical.

There has never been a more dedicated and proud Dad. What a wonderful gift Joe was for all who knew him. His smile and kindness will be missed by many. He absolutely twinkled when he talked about Vivi and the kids. He loved every moment of life and shared his joy with many. There will be a big hole in our world where Joe used to stand. I'm so glad that I had a chance to know him as are many others. God has another angel in heaven today and his name is Joe. Vivi, Anna & Austin: You made his life full and joyous.

We'll miss you, Joe! I hope we can keep your 1075 buggy here at the Omaha Main Post Office. It'll serve as a reminder that you were one of the nicest gentlemen there ever was! My thoughts are with your family...
