Like a flash of lightning you were born,
much sooner than projected.
So fragile that the doctors warned,
that survival was unexpected.

Your mother stood by your side,
as she asked God to protect.
Your brother laid by and cried,
as your father did not know what to expect

You managed to defy all odds,
with your confidence and smile.
Playing poker and casting fishing rods,
making everyday worthwhile.

Then the floor fell from beneath our feet,
when they announced that it was cancer.
We couldn’t help but feel defeat,
looking to only God for the answer.

Instead of weeping you took a bride,
and became a father to Ella and Natalie.
Taking each day in stride,
so proud of your family.

The doctors came out to say,
they did the best they could have expected.
Like a flash of lightening you went away,
much sooner than projected.

God gave you his hand,
so fragile and worn you took it.
Now we all have an angel that stands,
so much closer than expected.

I've known Josh for ten years. There's so many memmories with him- there's not a photo album big enough for them. It's so hard to know they're memmories now since he's gone. I never thought I would see him go so young. He has always been so charistmatic. He had this awesome zest for life to go as many places as he could and see evyerthing possible. Josh got to see and experience so much- at least he got his wishes before he passed. I will miss him always.

I wanted to wish my condolences to Josh's family. I had the pleasure of working at the casino with Josh and there were so many days you could tell he wasn't feeling well, but he always kept his chin up. if you asked he would always say he was doing ok even when you knew he wasn't. He was such a strong and brave man. He will be missed very much.

Josh and I became friends years ago as I played at the Horseshoe. He really is a great man and fought such a tough battle. I wish all of Josh's family much strength and peace during this extremely sorrowful time. God has taken Josh under his wing and his family can be at peace knowing he is no longer enduring any pain and suffering. Josh will always be with you. Dear Lord, please bring peace and strength to Josh's family now and in the tough weeks, months, and years ahead. Amen. God Bless.

I am blessed to have been able to know Josh. I truly admired his strength. Loving husband and an amazing Daddy. Always willing to lend his ear and offer advice. Such a sweet man. Unfair to us that he has been taken so young but he is no longer in pain and is rejoicing in heaven. (Tell my Dad and Grandpa Foote hello for me). You will be missed dearly. Blessings to the entire family at this time. May your happy memories of Josh ease your pain.
