Preceded in death by wife Geraldine "Gerry"; parents, Ernest and Neoma; brothers: Pat, Mo, Norm, Bud; sisters: Sis Ripberger, June Israel. Survived by children and spouses: Barbara and Joe Frates, Cheyenne, WY, Russ and Marion Hendrix, Omaha, Gail Hendrix, Kansas City, MO, Janice Baxter, Omaha; grandchildren: Doug and Nicki Hughes. Bret Hughes, Bailey and Kendall Hendrix, Adam Vail and fianceé Jenna Hunter, Bryan Vail and fianceé Michelle Diaz; Ayla Duba, Jackson Duba, Nicole Baxter and fiancé Levi Warren, Jared Baxter; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Gail Jeffrey, Omaha; numerous nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL SERVICE Thursday 10am at Faith Presbyterian Church, LaVista. VISITATION Wednesday 1-8pm with family receiving friends from 6-8pm. Interment: Fairview Cemetery. Memorials: Faith Presbyterian Church or American Cancer Society/Midtown Relay For Life. KAHLER DOLCE

I did not see that your father passed away until it was too late to attend the services, I am so sorry for not having been there...oh how you're going to miss them both now...sending my prayers to all of you...your parents were both VERY special people...I am thankful to have been a small part of their lives, and yours...my love to you and condolences from my entire family!

Jan and family, I am very sorry for your loss . Words cannot convey the grief, sadness and sorrow that we experience when a loved one passes. Losing a Dad is a great lose and it really hurts. When they are that age one feels they will live forever.

To the Hendrix family .. I always looked forward to a chat with Ken when I was at Fountain View to visit my aunt Anna Mae Hansen. He was a delightful gentleman and it was quite obvious to all how much his family meant to him! May that knowledge bring you all much comfort and peace in the days ahead. Uncle Butch, you were the best and will be missed terribly by all of us. You were always there for everyone, anytime. You were a great husband, dad, brother, uncle....you name it. Your family was your everything. I am so glad we got to see you at the last reunion and you will be with us forever in our memories and our hearts. I love you and miss you.
