Preceded in death by grandparents: Madeline Corcoran, Dr. Robert and JoAnne Langdon. Survived by parents, Dr. Thomas J. and Kathy Langdon; brothers: T. J., Patrick, Joe, and John Langdon; grandfather, Eugene Corcoran and wife Judy; aunts and uncles; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
The family will receive friends Friday, 4pm to 7pm in the Henry L. Sullivan Campus Center at Creighton Prep, 7400 Western Ave., with VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm. (Please park on the west side of the school.) MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Saturday, 11am, Christ the King Catholic Church, 654 S. 86 St. Interment, Calvary Cemetery. We all recieve loss in our lives. Some loss, like yours, is much, much greater! When we recieve such an enormous loss, as your beautiful son, Mark, we are asked to think of the Lord's pain when he was crucified, and died for us all.
But, I respect, it may not be something that can even be imagined or in your hearts, and minds right now.
Please allow yourselves to grieve, to hurt, to be angry, to be vulnerable, powerless, and frightened. It may even be difficult to imagine living your lives with this much hurt!
Please surrender all your thoughts and feelings to the Lord....he really does feel your pain, and he will be with you thru it all. Ask him to give you the perseverence, courage, strength, and ability to survive,.... to make it thru the next hour, or next day.
One second, one minute, one hour, one day at a time is the only way to survive such a tragic experience. And, take time for yourselves, a lot of time, in whatever fashion that may be.... to cry, mourn, while in turn learning to breathe, walk, and to function again.
The pain will lessen with a lot of time, but the hurt will never go away. And, do you know why that is....? It's because of the love you all share in your hearts for Mark, and he in return.

I was so saddened to read of the death of someone so very young. My heart and sincere condolences go out to the Langdon family. Mark was in my class this semester and we worked on a group project together. Just from this semester I got to know him better and he was a very nice person. He expressed how he wanted to go to law school and he always talked about his family and siblings. I am very sorry for the loss of your son.
