Phyllis, we all love you and always will. From the minute Becky became part of my life so did you! I could go on forever with all the wonderful things you gave to us all! You watched my dog for 2 months when I moved (and you never wanted a dog!) You made such a difference in my mom's life, she loved you so, you were her "favorite bingo buddy". You were so good to my kids and my "grandaughters" that didn't have the pleasue of meeting you! We referred to you as "Grandma Phyllis". God Bless You and Thanks for everything.

My family wishes to express our deepest sympathy for your loss. Phyllis was a beautiful person. I am proud to say that I had the privilege of teaching with her at Highland for 20 years. She embraced me and my family with open arms. She spoiled my kids almost as much as I did. We will miss her so very much.

Mrs. Mains was an amazing teacher. She taught me how to sit cross legged. She never called me Monique always Monica and I always answered. It was a thing between her and I even after I was long gone from highland. I was blessed having my mother in the same school as Mrs.mains because I got to spend time with Mrs. Mains and help her with putting up and taking down her bulletin boards. She will truly be MISSED! She has left behind a legacy and touched many LIVES!

I was lucky to teach with Phyllis for seven years at Jefferson Elementary School on 42nd Street. There were times we co-taught some classes together. Whenever she was in charge of the lesson it was so exciting, sometimes I forgot I was a teacher and not a student. She was and is the consumatte professional as well as one of the best friends a person could know. I'll miss you Phyllis and girls you know how much she loved family and how much she idolized you. Love, Deb Mosser-Payton.

Mrs. Mains was a wonderful teacher. She taught me how to color in one direction. She always had an infectious laugh and would walk the halls of Highland with these swishy pleated skirts. I didn't have her as a teacher but she made an impression on every child there. Thoughts and prayers are with her family.
