Rick was a neighbor, teacher and one of my very best friends and I will miss him with all of my heart! I have such fond memories of us teaching together and him talking my ears off going to and from classes. We solved the world's problems as well as our own! I admired him a great deal, he was such a fair and humble (most of the time, smile) guy! I truly hope we get to meet those we love in Heaven because Rick will be one of the first ones I look for! Shelly, I'm so sorry for your loss and I'm here for you! I have Rick's whole family in my thoughts and prayers! Till we meet again, Rick!

Unfortunately, I only met Rick one time a couple of years ago. However, I could tell he was a great guy and I know my sister Shelley loved him with all of her heart. I know that heart has been broken by the recent passing of Rick. I know that he was well respected in Sarpy County Law Enforcement and the self defense community there in Omaha. I am so sorry for my sister and her and Rick's many friends and acquaintances and I know that my sister and all the families lost a very great man. My condolences.

I knew that Rick would do big, and good things, even before he joined the Sheriff's Department. I have fond memories of traveling to tournaments, and training with Rick.

Although I have not seen Rick in years, I have fond memories of Staack family holidays at Grandma and Grandpa Staack, where the men played cards and the women cooked and cleaned up and us kids played upstairs. Thank goodness times have changed. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
