Uncle Bob was very special to everyone he met. If everyone would be like him, the world would be a very special place full of kindness instead of conflict. Miss you always Uncle Bob!

Bob was a Giant in stature and in Spirit. He followed and walked in Jesus's footsteps perhaps more than any man I ever knew and I'm so very grateful to have known him and shared his love, his friendship and his Christianity.
He was the kind of Christian example that influenced men's lives, I know he did mine.
I'm going to miss his check calls, his Love and Caring terribly !
I offer my deepest condolences to his wife and family.

Mrs. Laughlin, Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. So many great memories of Mr. Laughlin and the times spent with you and your family. The Benson Little League days, camping trips over to Iowa, staying at your house and riding bikes or playing hockey all day at the park across from your house. And your amazing Taco's! You and Mr. Laughlin always made me feel like part of your family, God bless you and your family.

My sincere condolence to Kathy and the family. Just as Bob was such a blessing to many during his time with us, so were you a blessing to him. And the blessing won't end with his passing. We'll be catching up with him in Father's good timing!.... I first began to know and appreciate Bob in the days when the Omaha Teen Challenge was reeling from a disastrous fire that shut down their center... Bob was an awesome 'first responder' who helped the ministry make the headquarters transition from Omaha to Colfax, Iowa. He walked us all through it... doing whatever was needed... until the job was done. I'll never forget that 'servant' quality that he embodied with such grace, dignity and faithfulness...

Dearest Kathy and family: I am praying and grieving at the loss of my good friend Bob. I can't imagine him being gone. I regret I haven't seen you and Bob much. Can't wait to see him in Heaven. The biggest thing I remember about Bob is how rough and tough he was when I first met him. Shortly after we moved away, Bob found the Lord in a life changing way. He became a totally wonderful Christian...loving everyone and always helping those in need. I truly loved Bob and love each of your family. Kathy may God watch over you.

Truly sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I always appreciated his kindness.
He was a friend to all he met and was never found not helping someone or else planning to.
One of the greatest examples of someone you could look up to while never being above anyone. Truly thankful to have known him. God bless you his family in this time.

We send our sympathy to Kathy & family with the loss of Bob. Bob was an amazing man, and so inspiring for our young family. His dedication to loving the least of these, immigrants, was beautiful and life changing. We will never forget his big, blue eyes and his gentle presence. Our lives were better because we knew Bob! May comfort surround you all as you grieve.

Kathy and Kids,
I haven't seen any of the family since I moved from the area over 20 years ago. I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Bob for the families sake but I am happy for Bob knowing that he is with the Lord. Something that I'm sure he has been looking forward to.
My favorite memory of Bob was when he took me fishing with his boys, Mark, Kevin, and Danny. He said the fish liked singing so we all sang " The Little Old Man From China" and I caught the biggest Carp I've ever caught that night.
What a sweet, sweet man! I can't wait to see him again!

Words can't describe how heartsick Joy and I have been. We are praying for Kathy and the family. Bob and Kathy helped us in many ways as wonderful, sweet friends. We will cherish our memories of meals, card games and helping others with them. Bob had the greatest servant's heart I have ever witnessed. There are hundreds if not thousands of people he touched in some way. He was always the first to help and never complained. Bob was very humble and made everyone feel at home. He loved the Lord and lived his faith out by loving his family, neighbors, friends and anyone along the way. We are very blessed to have known Bob Laughlin!

What beautiful memories I have of our precious Robert. He was a wonderful neighbor and friend and I am so happy that we will be together in eternity. So sad for the family as I know what a hole it will leave in their hearts. I am sure he was met with those lovely words. "Well done, my good and faithful servant" I know he loved the Lord with all that was within him and now shall receive his reward. Gone , but not forgotten.

Kathy and family, we are so very sorry for your loss. Bob was always such a joy to visit with, Clyde would tell me stories of their working days that would always bring a smile to his face. It was always reassuring and a blessing to hear Bob´s inspiring words about the Lord. We are sure he is resting in the arms of the Lord, Bob was such a faithful servant.

Kathy & Family,
It is with great sadness to read that Bob passed away today. We are so sorry!
We've been neighbors for over 35 years. We couldn't have asked for a better neighbor/friend. Bob was a thoughtful, caring person, so passionate about helping others. We will miss seeing him out tending his gardens or doing yard work & talking with him.
You'll be missed Bob!
We know you're with the Lord.
