Ruth Keith Obituary

Ruth Keith

November 1, 1934 - February 12, 2025

Ruth Keith, a long-time resident of Bellevue, passed quietly on February 12, 2025 at the age of 90, in the home she loved.

Ruth was born in Philadelphia, PA on November 1, 1934 to John and Lucy Ferry, where she was raised and was graduated from high school. She married Chandler Keith, also of Philadelphia, who later joined the Air Force. Ruth accompanied him throughout his military career and various assignments as their family grew to include five children. She settled in Bellevue in 1972 and worked at US West until her retirement. During her life, she and Bellevue remained the center of her family as her children pursued careers and families of their own. Over the years, her house was the regular site of gatherings for Thanksgiving and Christmas and the destination for children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to visit Grandma. Her love and laughter brought them back again and again. She loved them all, each in their own way, and regularly prayed to St Jude on their behalf. The memory of her love and gratitude for her prayers will endure with each of them forever.

Ruth was preceded in death by her sister Gladys. She is survived by her children, Kevin (Charla), of Texas, Paul of Ohio, Mary of Nebraska, Terri Walsh of Oregon and Steve (Susan) of Nebraska, 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Mary was such a sweet sweet lady! She was always fun to visit with and always so sharp about was going on in the world! I loved taking my dog Missy over to visit her, talking about her birds and squirrels on the back deck and yard. My prayers are with you Mary and family!
