Samuel Marcus Osborn of Elkhorn, NE passed away peacefully at Children's Hospital of Omaha on June 1, 2022 surrounded by his family. Sam was born on April 28, 2005, in Omaha, to Mark Osborn and Nicole Osborn. Sam had just completed a spectacular academic year as a junior at Elkhorn South High School when he passed away from cardiac complications associated with congenital muscular dystrophy.

He is survived by his father, Mark Osborn; his mother, Nicole Osborn, and her husband, Andrew Kimball; his siblings, James "Jack", Grace, and William Osborn; his grandmother, Mary Allen [all preceding of Elkhorn, NE]; his grandmother, Joyce Osborn of Treynor, IA; his uncle, Mike Osborn and his wife, Kay, of Los Angeles, CA; his aunt, Michelle Osborn of Treynor, IA; as well as numerous cousins, extended family members, and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, David Allen of Elkhorn, NE; his grandfather, Ken Osborn of Treynor, IA; and many great-grandparents.

A PUBLIC VISITATION will be held at The Barn at the Ackerhurst Dairy Farm on Tuesday, June 7, from 5-7pm, followed by a CELEBRATION of LIFE Ceremony from 7-8 pm (15220 Military Rd., Bennington, NE 68007). A PUBLIC FUNERAL MASS will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 8, at 10:30am (20500 W. Maple Rd., Elkhorn, NE 68022), with INTERMENT of Ashes to follow at Old Elkhorn Cemetery (22400 Wright Plaza, Elkhorn, NE 68022). VISITATION attendees should wear their favorite team's gear in honor of Sam, who was the ultimate sports fan. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to: AllPlay (1229 N. 97th Plaza, Omaha, NE 68114); St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Elkhorn (20500 W. Maple Rd., Elkhorn, NE 68022); or The Muscular Dystrophy Association, in memory of Sam Osborn and with a directive to 'Nebraska Summer Camp' or 'Congenital Muscular Dystrophy Research' (P.O.
