April 8, 1949 - October 23, 2021
She went home to Jesus after her struggle with Covid. Known as Princess by her husband Frank, as Mom by her children and Nanie by her grand and great-grandchildren. She loved family and especially children. She was patriotic and very proud of her Italian/Sicilian heritage. Told everyone she was 18 because that's how she saw herself. She was a beautiful and caring person who thought of everyone else first and wanted everyone to be "Nice."
Preceded in death by parents, Theresa and Alfio (Fred) J. Ruma. Survived by husband, Francis "Frank" Rayer; children, Sheryl Kanger (Ken), Michele Waszgis, Mark Rayer, Nicholas Rayer (Rebecca); grandchildren, Cody (Libby), Blake, Bernadette, Brooke, Spencer and Joseph; great-grandson, Colton James; siblings, Michael Ruma (Vickie), Sam Ruma (Joy), Mary Pat Hodgens (David); brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Lance and Phyllis Sebeniecher, Phillip and Shirley Rayer, Shirley and Joseph Rayer, Mary Jo and John Krance, Eleanor Dexter; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
VIGIL SERVICE: Friday, October 29th, 7pm at West Center Chapel with family receiving friends from 5-7pm. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Saturday, October 30th, 10am at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Private Interment: Omaha National Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Santa Lucia Children Causes.
