This week has been the hardest in my life!! I have always looked up to my dad, He has been my hero, and my friend {no matter what} I thought I would tell every one how great he is not just as a friend but as my DADDY. Very young he taught me how to fish and with fishing he taught me, If I have patients good things will come. He always kept us laughing even in the worst of times. He told me, my shoulders were to small for the weight of the world, let him carrie the load. He taught me to work hard for what I want but have fun doing it. He's always strait forward like it or not he'll tell you the truth if you ask him. My MOM and DAD have always opened there home to our friends who's parents kicked them to the street. Alot of our friends called my parents MOM and DAD. OK DAD was just like one of us kids alot of the time, but he kept it fun and FISHEY. One of the things I will miss the most is those bear hugs that if he squeezed any harded he would have crushed me. I will miss my DADDY, and my friend. I will try to teach Carson all the lessons of life like you taught me. You are the greatest man I every knew. If Carson grows to be half the man as you I could'nt be more proud. I have so many stories about my dad I could write all day so I'll end with a thought I know my DADDY is still here for us odd things are happening like when we were in the boat saying our goodbyes it was clouldy and on the return trip half way back the sun came out and it felt like a warm hug, It was only for a minute and the sun was gone again. You taught us to be strong and DADDY I'll do my best. I LOVE YOU, LOVE YOUR BABY GIRL.

Even after 23 years, I still remember the fishing trips and the conversations we had back in the Summer of ’83. I’m not sure you’d remember them, but I remember them like it was yesterday. I never had much of a father figure growing up, so I needed a lot of guidance at the time. Looking back, I did a lot of growing up on those trips. You even taught me to drive your station wagon on those Pony Creek roads. I wish I could smell that stink bait, drink a few more beers, listen to a few more stories, and have lot more laughs on just one more fishing trip.

I can contribute a lot of success in my 21 years in the Air Force and the 19 years of marriage back to those talks. I really believe you had a big part of setting me up for success on those days at Pony Creek. I wish now that I could personally thank you, but it’s too late and for that I’m sorry. But I can’t help wonder how many other people you’ve touched and influenced over the years. Unfortunately, we’ll never know, but I’m sure it was many. My heart goes out to Jody and the kids. May God be with them in this time of need. You’ll be dearly missed by more people than you can possibly imagine.

I can’t end this moment without some kind of M.A.S.H. quote, so I picked two that I thought were appropriate. Both are from Lt Col Henry Blake in his last episode.

I can see you looking down on us and telling us the same thing Henry told Radar as he was getting on the helicopter, "You behave yourself or I'm gonna come back and kick your butt"

And the last quote is simply: “Abyssinia”, which means I’ll Be Seeing You

We love you, miss you, and we know you’re in a better place. Thanks for everything!!!

Stan was more like a son than a son-in-law. I will still always be his "In-Law Ma-Ma". You will never be forgotten.

There a Korean Custom where they are sad when a person is born and happy when they died. Death is suppose to release a person from their touble life. Maybe so but death do not release those are left behind from the pain and sorrow. Only time may be able to do this.

Have many good memories of working with Stan, in the old turbo shop. Was always funny and he loved his fishing. He and I often talked about our diabetes, and tried to cope with it as best we could. May he rest in peace and pursue that big one which got away, on that big lake in the sky.
