We met Steve on a PGR mission up near Story City, IA. We have the best memories of talking about the VTX bike Steve owned (Black Betty) and ours. He helped us know what seat we needed on ours! We are also sorry we didn´t see any posts about his passing. We would have been there to celebrate this awesome man. You are in our thoughts and prayers. We are so sorry for your loss.

I met Steve during my second tour at Offutt in 1987. He and I became close friends and shared many great and not so great times together.
A true patriot, he was SAC through and through and also an honorary Navy Chief.
Steve had the keenest sense of humor and a love for animals. He was incredibly talented as a musician playing and collecting Martin guitars and singing in many bands in the Omaha area or with groups for church. His wood carving skills were unparalleled. I have many carvings he did for me over the years I will cherish forever.
Words can't express the loss I feel and now is shared by the many lives he touched. God called home one of his finest. I wish for Steve eternal rest. Mission accomplished my fellow warrior. Thank you for your service and friendship. No goodbye here. Just see you in a bit. Your brother in arms, Randy.

I got to know Stephen as a Guitars 4 Vets instructor. He invited me over to his house to see and hear/play his guitar collection. He was a very good player and loved his guitars! A talented man that will be missed. Brian E Wells, USA, CSM (Ret)
