Sudershan Batheja Obituary
1940 - 2020
Shan was born in India and emigrated to Nebraska in 1966 to earn his Master's Degree in Engineering. He married Sona Jawa in 1969, and they had three children. He started his firm, Batheja & Associates, where he served the Omaha community for more than three decades.
He will be remembered most for his selfless dedication to his family and his commitment to the Hindu temple.
Survived by wife, Sona Batheja; sons, Sonny (Mashal) Batheja, and Ash (Jody) Batheja; daughter, Alka (Phil) Bennion; and grandchildren: Lars and Mia Bennion, Aliya and Rohan Batheja, and Ivy and Jude Batheja.

I was saddened to hear the news of Mr. Batheja's passing over the weekend. I remember him as a kind man, wonderful father, and delightful neighbor. My brothers were always outside playing with Sonny and Ash and are still close to them to this day. My heart and prayers go out to the family.

Shan was always a kind man and a great friend. I had the privilege of serving under his leadership in the Society of American Military Engineers, with Shan was president of the 600-person Omaha Post. Shan was an absolute delight to work with. We grew to be friends and colleagues over the years. Shan was always upbeat, honest, and striving to do the right thing. I'll miss him greatly. May our Lord bless and comfort his family and friends.

Shan was a hard working man who loved his wife and children to the fullest. Only the best of memories. He will be greatly missed. So sorry for your loss. RIP Mr. Batheja.
