I met Tad shortly after his diagnosis. We happened to sit next to each other at a college World Series game. We hit it off immediately and became fast friends. It was impossible not to like and root for Tad. Throughout our relationship we shared everything and anything with each other. He was that kind of guy. To know him was to love him.
He was the bravest man I´ve ever known. Never once did I hear him complain about his situation. I would tell him how proud I was to know him and how beyond impressed I was with him as a man in the most heartbreaking of circumstances and I´m sure it made him uncomfortable. He was so humble, so brave.
I will think of Tad and gain strength from his memory. I will miss him forever. I feel lucky to have known him. Rest in peace, friend. Patrick.

My Dearest Beloved Friend Tad. My heart breaks of the pain & frustration you must of endured. However your courage through it all never changed. Such comfort you gave to us all, during your battle was impressive & not surprising. I will never stop praying for you my friend. When you meet up with my Matthew, May u both enjoy each others company once again.

Tad comes out to my house in Western Nebraska, and knows people 12 miles from my house that we can fish in their pond. I knew where the pond was but I didn´t know the people but Tad did !
