Alan Baum Obituary
As a young man, he was a part of various drum and bugle corps including the Yellow Pages and the Black Knights of Oswego and the Gauchos of Fulton, and their activities.
He had a long career as an LPN at James Square Nursing Home before becoming disabled.
Alan is survived by his fiancé, Tyann Richer of Oneida; two daughters and one son-in-law, Olivia, at home and Chelsea and Jonathon Pirkle of Lancaster, Pa.; a son and daughter-in-law, Alec and Rachel Baum of Chittenango; his stepchildren, who he loved as his own, Traci (Richer) and Mike Baum of Rome and Brett Richer of Verona; sisters, Sandy Geswaldo and Susan Baum-Young; brothers, David and Lori Baum, Jeff and Terry Baum, Joe Baum and Robert Baum; eight grandchildren, Ethan, Jaccob, Jackson, Hunter, Carter, Benjamin, Jason and Ezera; many wonderful nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly, many cousins, great nieces and nephews and a special friend who he considered family, Nancy Dunigan.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main St., Oneida with John Edick officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., prior to the funeral service.
