Carlo Masi Obituary
He was born April 1938 the son of Vito and Rose (Abraham) Masi of Clark Mills. He was educated in Clark Mills and graduated from Clinton High School in 1956.
Carlo and his wife Elizabeth (Gail) Steates Masi celebrated fifty-four years of Holy Matrimony. The couple owned and operated several businesses over the years including Carlo Masi Fruits and Vegetables, Utica, est. 1958, Utica Club Distributor, Norwich, N.Y. and Tropical Fruit Shop, Palm Beach, Fla.
Surviving are his wife, Gail, and their seven children, Edward and Fanny Masi Krawiec, Michael and Marie Masi, Sam and Diane Masi, Vito and Terry Masi, Robert and Debra Masi Reilly, Carla Masi and Jerome and Julie Masi. They were blessed with 22 beloved grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, one sister, Hilda (Wesley) Coy of Clark Mills and one brother, Ronald Masi of North Bay and several nieces and nephews. Carlo was predeceased by his granddaughter, Christina Masi.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, July 13, from 3–7 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 Front Street, Vernon. Carlo's Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in Holy Family Church, 4343 Peterboro St., Vernon, NY. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vernon, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Clark Mills Historical Society or New Hartford Fire Dept. Rescue Squad or Hospice and Palliative Care, c/o 11 Compton Road, New Hartford, NY, 13413. In celebration of Carlo please wear something red.
