John Renner Obituary
John was born Jan. 19, 1917 in New Village, N.J., the son of the late Henry F. and Lucie M. (Hawk) Renner. On Feb. 11, 1939 he married the former Marie Gunderman in Easton, Pa. She died in 1995.
John was a self-employed farmer in Bovina Center, N.Y. for 20 years. He previously worked in a silk mill, steel mill, and in furnace repair and service.
John is survived by his children, John (Susie) Renner Jr. of Washington, N.J.; James (Nancy) Renner of Stillwater, N.Y.; Jay (Judy) Renner of Bovina Center, N.Y.; Robert (Melanie) Renner of Munnsville, N.Y.; Joy R. Hamilton of DeLancey, N.Y.; grandchildren, Richard (Laura) Renner, Gina Renner, David (Deborah) Renner, Jeffrey Renner, Stacey (Hilary) Renner, Darrin (Michele) Renner, Jodi (Steve) Meehan, Renee' Renner, Michelle McKenzie, Robert (Jaime) Renner III, Jennifer (Bradley) Hilts, Aaron (Margay) Hamilton; Melissa (Brett) Hawk; 22 great-grandchildren, a cousin, Nancy Jones, and a special care giver, Lonah "Cookie" Musser while wintering in Osteen, Fla. He was predeceased by his brother, Harry Renner and his wife, Janet; sister, Kathryn R. Thompson, and son-in-law, Ray Hamilton.
There will be no calling hours. Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
