Marie K. Woodbury

SHERRILL >> Marie K. Woodbury, age 88, formerly of East Noyes Boulevard passed away peacefully Monday afternoon, Nov. 17, 2014 in the Masonic Care Community of New York.
She was born on May 9, 1926 in Goshen, N.Y. a daughter of the late Clifford and Helen (Turner) Kirwan and was a graduate of Proctor High School.
In 1970 Marie and Arthur Woodbury were united in marriage and shared that union until Mr. Woodbury's death in 1983.
Prior to her retirement Marie was employed in the office of the New York State Department of Vocational Rehabilitation.
Marie was a past Matron of the Eastern Star. Her memberships included Christ Church United Methodist of Sherrill and the Red Hat Society. In her spare time she enjoyed bowling and golfing.
Surviving are her three sons, Joseph Shimer of Westford, Mass., Richard Shimer (Alexander) of Tennessee and Stuart (Lorraine) Shimer of Canastota; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; special nephew and niece, David Kirwan and Barbara Kirwan as well as other nieces and nephews.
Marie was predeceased by her two brothers, Wilbur and Clifford Kirwan and one sister-in-law, Betty Kirwan.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 464 Sherrill Road, Sherrill. Marie's funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Christ Church United Methodist, 417 Park St., Sherrill with the Rev. Robert B. Kolvik-Campbell officiating.
