HAMILTON >> Steven A. Wilcox, 30, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 3, 2017.

He was born May 20, 1987 in Hamilton, a son of Steven Wilcox and Susan Gorton-Jillson and was a graduate of Hamilton Central School. On Feb. 2, 2013 Steven married Kahealani Pohano in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he was currently serving as an E5 (IS2) in the U.S. Navy.

Steven lived for his family and was a wonderful husband and father. He had many friends and his sense of humor made a difference in every life he touched. Steven was a fan of the NY Giants, Yankees, and Rangers. He enjoyed playing video games and watching WWE and MMA events.

Surviving are his wife, Kahealani Wilcox; children, Kamalei, Alaine, Mila; parents, Steven and Kim Wilcox of Hamilton, Susan and Phil Jillson of West Eaton; sisters, Jade Wilcox of Hamilton and Samantha Wilcox (Collin Metz) and niece Adelaide Metz of Manlius; grandparents, Charles Gorton of Hamilton, Earl and Shirley Wilcox of Earlville; and many cousins. He was predeceased by his grandmother Janet Gorton.

Funeral services with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2017 from the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 2369 Lake Moraine Road, Hamilton.

Calling hours will be held at the church from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
