We had the pleasure of getting to know DR. Williams when he was treating our Mother while She was in the hospital. We spent a month, day and night there, and during this time we ALL fell in love with him. He was a kind gentleman and a great Doctor.
May God wrap His loving arms around each of you during this sad time.

To the Williams Family,
We have been out of town and were so saddened to hear about Dr. Williams! He was such a great doctor but more than that, he was such a caring man! He has operated on almost everyone in my family including myself. I was very scared before surgery not knowing if I had cancer or not and he was just so comforting to me and my family. I know you all must be so honored to have him as your father. I am truly honored to have called him my doctor and friend. I will be praying for all of you. Sincerely, Patty Greene

I will never forget when my aunt was in surgery several times and Dr Williams came in after the surgery and comforted the family and said that he was going to pray for us and if he could do anything for us he would. i am sorry to hear of the loss of your husand, father and grandfather. He will be missed deeply my his patients and the friends he made in the Middle Georgia Community.

I was so sorry to hear the sad news about Dr. Tom. I came to know him in 1985 as a very frightened 25 year old young lady that needed her gallbladder removed. What a precious man he was! I then encountered him again as my surgeon in 1990 when I began to have to have surgical biopsies due to fibrocystic disease. He was my surgeon until he retired and I never once gave a second thought to the fact that he was aging because he was "THE BEST". I have not since found a more compassionate, caring and competent doctor. My heart goes out to the family and I am praying for a quick recovery for his daughter-in-law and grandchild.
Dear Heavenly Father,
I pray right now that you will wrap your loving arms around this wonderful family. I want to also pray that you will put your healing hands upon those family members that were injured in this tragic accident and just give them all the peace that only you can give. I know Lord that you will give them the strength that can only come from you.
In Jesus Name,
Amen

I have read the entries in this Guest Book and have found that all were the true feelings that I had toward him. So, what could I say different about my experience with him. I think mine is unique because he saved my life by repairing an aneurysm that had burst during a stay in the hospital. I will be eternally grateful to him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Dr. Williams even though we have never met. We were traveling to Hilton Head on Thursday afternoon June 28th when we witnessed this horrible accident. We actually saw the tractor-trailer as it rear ended the white suv. We called 911 and since last Thursday my wife and I have had a difficult time getting the image out of our mind. Again our thoughts and prayers are with you.

AT THE END OF THIS MONTH, 10 YEARS AGO, I MET DR. WILLIAMS. HE DID SURGERY ON MY (LATE) HUSBAND IN JULY 1997 AND AGAIN IN JUNE 1998. HE BECAME A PART OF OUR FAMILY FOR THE NEXT 5 YEARS. MY HUSBAND PASSED AWAY FROM A HEART ATTACK IN 2002 AND WAS STILL SEEING DR. WILLIAMS EVERY 6 MONTHS AS A PRECAUTION- THAT'S HOW DR. WILLIAMS WAS-HE KEPT A CLOSE CHECK ON HIS PATIENTS. I HAVE NEVER MET A KINDER MORE CARING AND UNDERSTANDING DOCTOR. I HAVE THOUGHT OF HIM OFTEN OVER THE LAST 5 YEARS AND WAS SO SADDENED TO READ OF HIS PASSING. YOU, HIS FAMILY ARE IN MY THOUGHTS & PRAYERS AND I JUST WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU FOR SHARING HIM WITH MY FAMILY AND ALL THE NUMEROUS PEOPLE THAT HE TOOK CARE OF.

I was so very fortunate to not only be a patient of Dr. Tom Williams;but I also worked with him prior to his retirement.Dr. Williams was the most devoted, dedicated, and caring Physician I have ever met. He always had that sweet smile that just always said it all.
He was a Blessing to all his patients and nurses; And was a "shining example" to other physicians as to what a Doctor should be and how he or she should "act". He will not be forgotten. My deepest and heartfelt sympathy to your family.

GOD BLESS EACH OF YOU IN YOUR HOURS OF SORROW. FIND COMFORT IN KNOWING HIS JOB ON EARTH, HERE IN THE VALLEYS WAS WELL DONE. HIS CROWN IS FULL OF JEWELS AND HE WAS WELCOMED HOME WITH A FULL HONOR GUARD OF GODS ANGELS AND YOUR MOTHER.
I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY OF MEETING DR. TOM, AFTER A LARGE MASS WAS FOUND IN AN ABNORMAL MAMMOGRAM SOME YEARS AGO...SINCE MY HUSBAND TRAVELS THE WORLD, I DECIDED TO BE SMART AND JUST GO AHEAD AND GET IT DONE IMMEDIATELY, AFTER CALLING MY PHYSICIAN AND TELLING HIM TO GET ME THE BEST WHILE I RAN TO GET MORE ULTRASOUNDS, DR. TOM WAS WAITING FOR ME. I RAN IN HIS OFFICE SMELLING THE FRESH SMELL OF HIS SWEET TOBACCO, AFTER READING HIS DIPLOMAS ON THE WALL FROM UAB MEDICAL SCHOOL I WAS COMPLETELY AT HOME. HE WAS CALMING AND COMFORTING. WE HAD A PAK, IF HE FOUND ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE TUMOR HE WOULD WAKE ME UP AND WE WOULD DISCUSS IT. PRAISE GOD EVEN THOUGH IT WAS NEXT TO THE CHEST WALL IT WAS BENIGN. HE WAS AN ANGEL IN DISGUISE I PRAISE GOD FOR CHRISTIAN DOCTORS AND HE WAS ONE OF THOSE.
I AM PROUD TO HAVE KNOWN HIM. AND AWAIT THE DAY I WILL SEE HIM AGAIN.
IF I CAN BE OF ASSISTANCE PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO CALL.

I met Dr. Williams when I first came to Macon working Medical Records at HCA and unlike most MD's, he always stopped and chatted and treated you with absolute respect. Following working there, I have worked with his patients fitting mastectomy products and all of them sung his praises. My prayers go to his family and especially his wife of so many years.

Tommy,
I was so sorry to hear about your father. I recently had the pleasure of sitting with him at dinner during the U.S. Closed gathering (I was my daddy's date). It had been so long since I had seen your father I did not immediately reconize him. It was not until his pipe was mentioned that I realized who he was and enjoyed the opportunity to spend time with him. He was a fine man and I know how much you all will miss him. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I first met Dr. Williams when I was transferred here and needed a surgeon for post-operative check-ups. Another of his patients recommended him highly, telling me how much she loved him as a doctor. I, too, was delighted with Dr. Williams. He was always courteous, caring & professional. Unlike other doctors I've experienced, he listened and treated us like we have brains and know what we are talking about. I always enjoyed seeing Dr. Williams. He was a truly delightful man as well as a fine surgeon, and he will remain an exceptional person in our memories. The medical field needs more like Dr. Williams.

The medical community has lost one of the most caring professionals. We were all blessed by his compassion. I have never met another professional that could take his place. He didn't just treat symptoms, he treated the whole person. He had such a caring
personality. You always knew you were in good hands with him in charge of your care. His priority was always his patients. He was truly one of a kind.
