Robert Selzer Obituary

On December 19, 2020, Robert E. Selzer, born April 21, 1931, passed from this life into eternal life with his family by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ida Selzer, his brother Charles, daughter Michelle and his brother Jim. He is survived by his loving wife Gloria Tarquinio Selzer and their sons, Paul (Erna), Mark (Kate), Joe, Thomas (Mike), Patrick (Robin). He is admired and loved greatly by his grandchildren: Nicole, Jessica, Breanna, Christopher, Andrew, Mark, Ian, Danielle, Rochelle and his great-grandchild Kylie. Robert was affectionately known by his nickname "Rab" given to him by his high-school friends. Rab was known most appreciatively for his famous meatballs and their reputation preceded him. As a young man, Rab was a stalwart athlete and a fantastic catcher in baseball. He taught his sons, and his daughter Michelle, the art of playing the sport. Later he became an avid golfer. His daughter Michelle was the apple of Rab's eye and will be in the greeting committee to welcome him to eternal life. Rab was also known for his sense of humor, cracking jokes and making light, especially in dire circumstances and kept his ability to laugh all the way. Rab is also survived by his brother Edward (wife Cy), his brother Jim's wife, Irene. Those who knew Rab, loved Rab. His kindness, laughter and wit will be greatly missed until we all can later adjourn in the shelter of the King, on Eagles Wings (his favorite hymn).
