Belluschi, Jeffrey Peter 55 Mar. 19, 1961 Jan. 12, 2017 Jeff Belluschi of Portland died unexpectedly from natural causes Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017. Jeff was a beloved father, son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, friend of many and fiancé. His presence and positive impact on their lives is already deeply missed by all. He truly had every gift, but length of years, and was always generous in sharing his talents. Jeff had a long career as a Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) and had been the Home Owners Association Manager for the Sylvan Heights Condominium Association since 2014. He was also the CEO of Belusco Consultants where he provided his expertise in management consulting. The most important part of Jeff's life was the time he spent with his sons, Peter and Christopher. His pride in their academic, arts and sports successes was always his favorite topic of conversation. Jeff was engaged to Ms. Traci Innes of Scottsdale, Ariz., with whom he looked forward to spending his life. In addition to his love of family and his professional expertise, Jeff was known and respected as someone who had a passion for good design. His enthusiasm was particularly focused on cars and architecture. He enjoyed driving and discussing high performance sports cars and was often the first to share the latest automobile news with his family and friends. Jeff was also a highly regarded spokesperson on behalf of his grandfather, renowned architect Pietro Belluschi, and on behalf of mid-century modern architecture. He actively participated in Portland's Friends of Memorial Coliseum to ensure preservation of the building. He was also on the advisory committee for the Portland Architecture blog. Although Jeff was not an architect himself, his knowledge and passion for architecture made him "a significant enlightened enthusiast for well designed buildings" according to Brian Libby, the architectural journalist and critic. Always proud of his Italian heritage, Jeff served on the board of the Portland-Bologna Sister City Association for seven years. Jeff was born March 19, 1961 in Bangor, Maine, but grew up, and spent most of his life in, the Pacific Northwest. He attended Northfield Mount Hermon preparatory school in Massachusetts and was a 1983 graduate of Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash. Jeff's survivors include his parents, Peter and Susan Belluschi; his sons, Peter and Christopher Belluschi all of Portland; brother, Bruce Belluschi of Camarillo, Calif.; uncle and aunt, Craig and Maribeth Collins of Delmar, N.Y., aunt, Winona Collins of Burlington, Vt., uncle and aunt, Anthony and Martha Belluschi of Portland; cousins, Pietro Belluschi of San Francisco, Catharine Paulk of Glendale, Calif., Peter Collins of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; niece, Shelby Belluschi of Ventura, Calif.; and numerous cousins in Italy and the U.S. His grandparents, Pietro and Marge Belluschi, Warren and Anne Collins; and uncle, Terrence Collins preceded him in death. A private service will be held by family. Contributions in Jeff's memory may be sent to the Portland-Bologna Sister City Association, the Portland Art Museum or the Oregon Historical Society's "Pietro Belluschi Resource Center".
