Gwen, it was a month yesterday, and not a day goes by that I don't pray for you and all of your family. I have tried so hard to find the words to express whats in my heart, but I know now, there just aren't any words. I can only tell you that I love you. Only those that have walked in those shoes can. There are others and yet, everyone is different. Nothing compares with the loss of YOUR child. I am here for you. I am so sorry it took me so long to write to you. I just seemed motionless, so I just prayed.

Ricky and Gwen,
I am so sorry for your loss. It has taken some time to get to this-as it has hit me quite hard. I remember Aaron when we were in Kentucky-he was so kind to JR. I have often thought about what you must be feeling and how hard things must be now. I wish I could change that for you. You are all wonderful people. You will always be in my thoughts.

Dear Uncle Ricky, Aunt Gwen and Adam,
Aaron's death has had a profound impact on my life, as you already know. Saying goodbye to Aaron has made me realize that life is too precious to spend it "sweating the small stuff". I will never let an opportunity to tell my family how much I love them pass me by. I love you all so very much. I am here for you if you need anything.

I use to baby sit Aaron and his brother when they lived here in Louisiana, he was such a character, always entertaining, and putting smiles on everyones faces. I have not seen him in quite a while but have seen his mother on occaisions updating me about him. My heart is with his family in this time, I can only imagine what they are going through with this tragedy. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. All I do know is that he is in Heaven putting smiles on everyones faces and filling their souls with laughter. Aaron will be greatly missed by me and my family. I am so sorry for your loss.

Aaron was such a memorable young man. I had the good fortune of meeting him a few years ago when I went to watch my niece, Amber Rodrigue, at the annual cheerleading competition in Disney World. We all spent the day at the Magic Kingdom and had a lot of fun! I remember telling my sister how impressed I was by Aaron. He was so polite, genuine and fun to be around – a wonderful example of exactly how every parent hopes their children turn out and a true compliment to you both as parents. His untimely passing is a tremendous loss to us all. May God give each of you the comfort and strength you need to carry on and may your memories with Aaron be enough to sustain you until you meet again.

Aaron was such a fun loving kid. When he walked into a room the atmosphere would become fun and laid back. He always made everyone feel welcome. He was the "go to" guy for anything. If you want to feel better about your day, you would talk to him and he would crack a joke that would make you forget about everything. Im very thankful for meeting him in highschool and continuing our friendship throughout the years. My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to the Pichoff family and Meredith. With great pain comes great strength. God Bless You.

Gwen, Ricky and Adam I cannot begin to convey my sadness for you. When I think of Aaron I think of the papers I helped him with, the letters he wrote to me, how he made me laugh and of course the wennie stew cookoff before your move to Florida. It has been an honor and privilege to be a very tiny part of Aaron's younger years and he shall remain forever in my heart. My you feel God's embrace as he travels with you thru his horrific experience. Heaven has a special angel. Love you all Elizabeth "Liz" Memtsas

Gwen, Rickey, and Adam,
Although it has been many of years since we last saw each other, I do remember both Aaron and Adam. Adam was in my daughter Lindsey's class at Visitation. My family and I are so sorry to hear about Aaron. I do not live in New Orleans anymore but I do read NOLA everyday. I was so shocked when I saw Aaron's name. I remember decorating for the Halloween dance we had at Visitation. The boys were always so helpful, Aaron being the cut up with a smile always on his face. I can't imagine how it feels to loose a child but if there's anything I can do from a far please let me know.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I played lacrosse with Aaron when he first moved to Olympia. We were teammates who always had a lot of fun. He was a great goalie and he let people know it! I also worked with him at Publix and we had some great times and fun laughs there. He was an incredible human being who will be dearly missed. May God bless the Pichoff family and all those whose lives were touched by Aaron. May he Rest in Peace.
