Carl Lund Obituary

Carl William (Bill) Lund passed away December 22, 2020. He was 93 years old. He shared his life with his wife Kathryn Francis Lund, who passed away in 2005. They were married almost fifty five years, and together they raised three children, Steven William (Delene) Lund, Kathy Lund (Kevin) Gunty and Pattie Lund (Eric) Hummel, who gave them six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Bill was born on September 25rd 1927 to Wilhelm Gustave and Gertrude Elsa Lund in Albany, New York. As a young man Bill worked for his father in the dry cleaning business. After a short time in the Air Force, Bill and Kay were married. They chose central Florida to begin their lives together. Bill worked in the family restaurant, Lunds Hofbrau House in Silver Springs. He became a salesman for the Bostich Company in 1960, moving to Orlando and working for them until he retired in 1999. Bill dedicated his life to supporting his family. He enjoyed many hobbies, including square dancing, model rocket and remote control airplane building, CB and HAM radio and anything related to electronics. Bill and Kay choose to spend their retirement years at the Plantation in Leesburg. For many years they enjoyed traveling to their cabin in Tennessee and back home again. He passed away peacefully with his family at his side.

Sorry to read about your dad's passing. I remember playing horseshoes with him and your mother up at their place in Tennessee when Steve and I took a trip up there.
