Clinton Welch Obituary

Clint Welch, born in Orlando, Florida in 1979, was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. He was taken much too soon when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver on Lemon Bluff Road in Osteen between the hours of 1:00am and 3:40am on May 22nd, 2022. The elder son of Linda Walsh and Peter "Bermuda Pete" Welch, he is also survived by younger brother Hunter Welch and Hunter's wife Melissa, their daughters Lena and Addison, aunt Jonelle Welch, uncle Geoffrey Welch, uncle William Peterson, and close friend Jon King. He was a familiar face in the downtown Orlando area in his late teens and early twenties, working a variety of jobs including as cook at the popular Kate O'Brien's Irish Pub. Later, he moved to Osteen and was most recently working as a cook at Gators Riverside Grille in Sanford. After working the night shift, he was walking on the road near his home when he was hit. He will be much grieved and sorely missed.

"Fly, Winged Messenger."

A private celebration of his life will be held at Gators on Tuesday, May 31st, at 4:00pm. The owners of Gators are offering a $5,000 REWARD for information leading to a conviction, and Clint's family would be grateful for relevant information given to Florida Highway Patrol at (386) 736-5350.
