Papa was the best Papa in the world and the only one I ever knew. Our relationship with Granny and Papa never faded away when we moved to Missoui. I will always remember Papa telling me to take care of my Mama and I will keep that promise to him.Papa taught me that there are there are different kinds of love that we share for those we care about and he always had a way to make it seem like everything was going to be o.k.The long drives to Florida to visit after we move to Missouri we never as long as the good-byes when we were leaving to go back home. I will miss Papa forever but never forget my Papa's love and support for our family.I pray we all stay strong for Granny,my Dad,Aunt Janie, Aunt Mary and Aunt Dorthy. For a part of all our lives were touched by Papa in a blessed way.

Aunt Claudine, I am so sorry that I was unable to come to Uncle Bud's services today. You, Janie, Mary Helen, Dorothy and Joe are in my thoughts and prayers. I can remember many years ago when you and Uncle Bud would come to Tampa and he would go get bananas at the docks. Margie wanted to come today too but her husband is not feeling all that well but she sends her love to all.
We remember all the good times when you, Uncle Bud and our cousins would come to Grandmother Cornett's house to visit. Those days were good family times with lots of good food. God bless you and be with you in your time of sorrow.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the family and friends of "Bud" Huett, the one man in my life who drastically changed my life when he hired me to become one of Mt. Dora's finest in 1965. I served with him until his retirement, and he became my greatest mentor in life not withstanding the Law Enforcement field. He helped me reach my dreams. I shall miss him greatly. May he rest in peace with God whom he served so diligently....

My memories of my Uncle Bud are very special to me. When I was a young girl growing up in Brandon, FL the only fast food place was Dairy Queen, my Aunt Deenie, Uncle Bud and cousins would visit us from Mount Dora. He would come with his big German Shepherd and was larger than life as he was the Police Chief at that time. I never have really thought much about his accomplishments in life other than that they say a lot about the greatness of him and his generation. When he would visit us he would always make a point to speak with us kids and give us a big bear hug and smile making us feel that we were special too. I know I can speak for my sisters and cousins that those memories will last a lifetime. They don't come any better than Uncle Bud.

Once again I have the opportunity to express my feelings in the loss
of Mr. Huett. It is with great sadness and joy at the same time to know that we will no longer see him on this earth, but will one day be joined again with our Lord. Mr and Mrs Huett once lived at the corner of Highland and 7th Ave where the Hurrican Hut is. I as a child used to go over and take a nap on their couch while Mrs. Huett ironed clothes and listened to the radio. I can remember seeing his German Shepherd dog riding on the top of the police car as he went to work. I can't express how indebted that I am for the guidance that these two people afforded me in my childhood years in Mount Dora. Joe
Jr. was and is like a brother to me and never let anyone bring harm or pick on me. Thank you entire Huett family for molding me into the man that I am today. May the peace that only our Lord can offer be with you and sustain you through the days to come.
May God Bless You All
