Joan Behnke Obituary

BEHNKE, JOAN M., 69, of St. Cloud, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2008. Loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Born in Brooklyn, NY. She was a teacher's aide for 13 years. Her love of life was her grandkids. She loved to travel and was always smiling. She was everyone's "Mama Joan". Her happiest times were when her grandkids were born and just spending time with her family and friends. The many people, who loved Joan, will miss her beautiful smile, her gentle heart, her kindness and generosity to her family, friends, and others. She is survived by daughter Joan Difede (Giuseppe), St. Cloud; son Jimmy Behnke (Tracey), Spring Hill, FL; seven grandchildren, Heather, Richie, Ashley, Amanda, Ryan, Angelina, and Brittany; sister Eileen Dempsey (Phil), Hollywood, FL; and sister-in-law Dottie Ryan, Tampa, FL. Joan is preceded in death by husband Jimmy Behnke, son Ritchie Behnke and grandson Joseph. Her family will celebrate her life 6PM Thursday, March 6, 2008 at Fisk Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Her family will always remember her unfailing love of life and quest for fun. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Corner Stone Hospice, 888-728-6234 ext 6800, or [email protected].
