I just read everybody's remarks and it was really nice to hear from everybody that said something and for all the people who don't say something everybody's lost someone in their life and it's difficult for everybody and now the world the coronavirus and the weather and the food shortage and the water shortage and all the weather problems in the world. It's so cold in the winter places and so hot in the hot places. It's nice that people feel so much love and warmth towards my dad John Anthony Thaddeus Francis Carpenter. That's funny he was named after so many saints cuz he was a preemie baby and they didn't know if he would live. I can't remember if this story is from Aunt Christine or uncle Johnny my dad but I guess she was having a miscarriage during Carpenter my grandma and they were just going to let it happen and my grandma heard about some shot in the Vogue magazine or some medical magazine and she told him to give him that shot to give her that shot so she wouldn't lose the baby and they said no and she got the head of the hospital down there and so they gave her the shot and the baby was saved and was born prematurely it must have been John Junior John Carpenter my dad because Aunt Christine wasn't a preemie baby. But the important thing to realize is that every person on the planet including anybody who reads this and every individual person is just as important as John Carpenter was or is anybody in the world is so if you take the thing you idolize the most human-wise or love wise and you see yourself is that more than the thing you idolize or that you love and that you care about the most whether it's God or Jesus or your children or your wife hopefully it's yourself you must understand that you loving yourself more it's important than loving anything else but it's good that people love other things more than they love themselves. :-) to all the gods and goddesses in the world and I see them as all the humans all my family I love you and I love everybody that's passed away and my family including John Grandma Carpenter Grandma singer Grandpa singer so many people Julie my good friend my family I feel like all my friends are my family and the whole world is my family and I know my family that I grew up with she is a little bit different like other families where like you have extended family and cousins and second cousins and things like that and it makes sense to me but for me I have one family and that's the whole world and I'm so glad that I'm touched by everybody that I've come in contact with and they represent themselves and the rest of the world if that makes sense without sounding a little too silly.

Larry,
John was the love of my life many years ago. I still carry our time that we shared together in my heart. He touched my life so much and taught me how to be true to myself and others. I always thought I would get the chance to see him again and tell him. ~ I guess he knows now :) ~ I think of you and Mo often and can only imagine how difficult this is for you and your family. I will keep you all in my prayers.

I am Larry, Daddy John's oldest son. Thank you, for all your kind thoughts and words. This guest book will be open permanently. Feel free to keep writing and thinking about all of John's wonderful qualities. He is hear with us in spirit. For me he is sitting in the chair next to me right now, telling me to tell all his friends and family that he loves them. He say's he's sorry for any pain or hurt we all might be feeling. He want's to go surfing and pick up some olive garden on the way home. And definitely pick up some bread sticks for Devon his youngest son. Devon loves bread sticks and daddy loves getting them for him. God bless my little brother and sister, I wish I could take away there sorrow and hurt. And I wish I could bring him back for all of us, esp. Marlene, Maureen, Devon, Steph, Kevin and me. But for me he is really not gone. God bless everybody, love Larry

John was my best friend at Stonewall Jackson Jr High. We were best friends 7th through 9th grade. I owe him much for what he did for me. We took several family vacations together and enjoyed our formidable years together. We learned to pole vault together and started dating girls together. I have countless fond memories of John. He was a born leader and inspiration to all he touched. He touched my sole and I will miss him.

John, you were one of the coolest and nicest guys around. Actually you were one of the people I looked up to, with the houses, cars, jet skiis, a great lifestyle and family. We are so sad to see you leave us this way, so young etc.. We hope you have found peace and are with more people who love you in heaven. You will be greatly missed down here. I'm sorry my son Drew never met you, he would have thought you were so much fun. We are glad we did get to know you and will remember the good times we all had.

Kevin, I am very saddened to hear of John's death. I too remember summers in Vernon and always looked forward to seeing John. I even had a crush on him. I stayed with him in Florida about 15 years ago while attending a conference and we had a great time. I know he will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Love your cousin, Annette

Dear John, You always cut your own path through life. Driven to it by circumstance from the beginning...God knows that I have never felt such pain as came with the news of your leaving this world. Since we were children we have had such a deep and profound bond that has always transcended distance and time. We were as one...brothers born under different stars...yet we were and always will be brothers. Together we found our own Neverland filled with the hopes and dreams of children...safe from the unwanted trials we faced in daily life. I will miss you John...as I did in those months between our visits. You left this world a better place. I love you and will remember you and speak of you until the day I draw my last breath. Peace...
