Jack was an extraordinary friend, the likes of which are hard to find. In our mutual commitment to running, we always knew Jack would likely be at the back of the pack so no runner was left behind (or got lost). He was an inspiration to all of us to "be like Jack" as much as we could in our own lives. I've already been missing him since he took off his running shoes and I will remember him for all the good he taught me. He was my alt-dad to me and many others.

Sorry about your loss. I was in the same age group as Jack. He was quite a competitor. If would show up for a race I knew I had to push to come before him. Always a Gentleman.
Franco Muci, soon - like tomorrow - to be 85.
