John Rehse Obituary

Rehse, John passed away on February 26, 2018. He was 86 years old. John was born in 1931 at what was then Orlando General Hospital and lived his entire life in Orlando. He graduated from Orlando High School in 1950 where he met the love of his life, Susan Gray. They were married for more than 50 years and had two children, Margaret (Meg) Rehse Pulsifer (John), and John Sidney (Sid) Rehse and one grandchild Rebecca Pulsifer who he frequently said was the "apple of his eye". He is preceded in death by his wife. John was a veteran of the Korean War where he was a mechanic for the Army. He later worked as an automobile machinist for Central Auto Parts, Orlando for more than 20 years and retired from E. J. Sales. John was a longtime member of the Episcopal Church. He was active for many years at Christ the King Episcopal Church and later attended St. Mary of the Angels Episcopal Church. John was a lover of NASCAR and could frequently be found watching races on Sunday afternoon. He also liked to fish in his younger days and fished many of the local lakes with his uncle. As an Orlando native, he told stories of growing up locally and the many changes he had seen. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 4 at 2:00 PM at St. Mary of the Angels Episcopal Church, 6316 Matchett Road, Orlando.
