John Stone Obituary

STONE, JOHN DOUGLAS "DOUG", age 58, of Orlando, Florida, died Sunday, July 2, 2006, at the Florida Hospital Altamonte. Born in Butler County, Ohio, on October 5, 1947, he is the son of John and Helen (Barton) Stone of Hamilton. As a 1961 graduate of Fairfield High School he continued his education at Urbana College. On April 22, 1967, in Hamilton, Doug married Janet B. Ervin. He was employed for 12 years with Lockheed Martin and he also was employed with GE in Evendale, Ohio. He was a Veteran serving in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and later the Army National Guard. Doug is survived by his wife of over 39 years, Janet of Orlando, Florida; his parents, John and Helen Stone of Hamilton; three children, Michelle St. Michael, Sheri Stone and Jerry D. Stone, all of Orlando, Florida; sisters, Ann Bell and Joy Schaub, both of Hamilton; very devoted mother-in-law, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in- law; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at Webb Noonan Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South "D" Street, Hamilton, at 2PM on Monday, July 10, 2006, with Rev. Stanley Booher of the Fairfield Wesleyan Church officiating. Interment will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Family and friends will be received prior to the service from 12- 2PM at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association, 8899 Brookside Avenue Suite 102, West Chester, OH 45069 in lieu of flowers.
