June Greene

1930 - 2017

Greene, June of College Park, Orlando, born June 7, 1930 died November 10th after a brief illness. From Hartford, Connecticut, she was the youngest daughter of Percy Rose and Elizabeth Russell Rose of Ireland. She attended Hartford Public High School. She was married to her husband James P. Greene, Sr., for 69 years. She was a devoted mother. In 1975 , she became a clerk at the G. Fox &Co., now Macy's, retiring in 1987 as the Head Cashier. She loved to travel and to shop. Her life's commitment was loving her large family. Besides her husband, she leaves behind to mourn her six children and their spouses, Sharon and Raoul Carrier of California, James P. Greene, Jr. of Connecticut, Paul F. Greene of Massachusetts, Kelly A. Greene of Orlando, Ellen and Tim Tisdale of Texas, and Peter and Denise Greene of Navarre, Florida. She also leaves 9 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and 19 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her older brother George Rose, sister Lillian Kristofak of Norfolk, Virginia and sister Betty Mercier. Services in Orlando at Robert Bryant Funeral Chapel, 321 E. Michigan Street, Orlando. Calling hours Wednesday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Burial will be in Connecticut.
