I was saddened to hear about Larry passing this year as he brought so many fond memories to so many growing up in Orlando. Larry's "Ronnie's" was a Orlando landmark that brought people together. It was a place where you put your differences aside for breakfast, lunch or dinner and enjoyed some wonderful comfort foods. I miss those wonderful mini danishes and admired Larry for his hard work & dedication all those years it was no easy task. I considered Larry a true icon in Orlando and will always be missed. I'm thinking God wanted a new place for those wonderful danishes and called on Larry. My you rest in peace Larry and God bless you and your family.

If all the patrons of Ronnies knew this amazing person had passed, there would be thousand's of entries thanking and blessing him and his family for the wonderful memories they provided to so many people. Nothing short of a genius could have created what you did Mr. Leckart and I only hope if I ever make it to heaven, you will have another Ronnies restaurant exactly like the one you founded in Orlando. Your dedication and hard work was so appreciated and is forever part of our most treasured memories. You made a huge impact for so many 'baby-boomers' growing up and their parents alike. How one restaurant can do this is beyond me, but you and all the hard working people you hired over 39 years made magic. No matter how bad things got, there was always lunch at Ronnies and a good movie to make the day a little brighter. You are an inspiration, thank you sir, rest in peace, and God bless you and your family. Bob Gall

I grew up in Orlando and recall being taken to Ronnies as a kid, going there as an adult and taking my nephews there when they would visit.
Later in life, my sister, my wife and Michael Welbourne would dine there every Saturday evening. Larry always gave us one of the Reserved booths which was and is quite an honor.
We were saddened when Ronnie's closed and even more saddened when Larry passed away. He was an icon, an astute businessman and a wonderful gentleman.
We don't see guys like him anymore.
