Marguerite Watkins Obituary

WATKINS, Marguerite Entered into eternal rest on Friday evening, November 17, 2006, Marguerite Willie Ward Watkins, widow of Bernie Hart Watkins. Residence, Holly Hill, South Carolina. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Services in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL Monday, November 20, 2006, at two o'clock. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Friends may call at Stuhr's Greenridge Road Chapel this Sunday between five and seven o'clock. Memorials may be made to S.P.C.A., John Ancrum Society, 3861 Leeds Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406. Mrs. Watkins was born February 5, 1915 in Bell, Florida, a daughter of the late Walter William and Georgia Martin Ward. She retired many years ago from American Tobacco Company and she and her husband were owner/operators of a mercantile store. She was a member of Eutawville Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Alice S. Watkins of Holly Hill and Georgia Ann West of Eutawville; one son, J. C. Simmons and wife, Linda, of Eutawville; twelve grandchildren; and a number of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and great great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Alison M. Simmons and Kenneth I. Simmons. Pallbearers for the service will be: Jonathan Todd Watkins, Mark Thayer Thomas, Larry James Marchant, Al Reubin West, Joseph McCants McLeod, and Christopher Thomason.
