I was both shocked and saddened to hear of Manny's death. While I had not had a great many opportunities to work with Manny,I was impressed by those few opportunities that I did have. Our condolences go to his family and friends.

I was very saddened to hear of Manny's passing. I am proud to have known Manny, in my opinion his extensive knowledge of the industry was an asset to the DLR Group. Since 1999 he has been instrumental in making progress towards a jail project in Putnam County. I considered Manny a friend and looked forward to his many visits to our agency. I speak for all the members of the agency that knew Manny when I say he will be sorely missed. My prayers are with his family.

I am truly saddened by the loss of my friend Manny. Manny and I worked together at DLR Group. We had plans to work closer together. I know that I would have enjoyed every moment working for Manny and the DLR Group Orlando Team.
Manny always made me laugh. He was an honest individual with many talents. I will always remember Manny's will to help others. I am so thankful to have known such a wonderful and unique person.
Manny will forever be missed. My condolences to Elizabeth, Crawford and Jack. May god always comfort you.
God Bless,

I wish to express my deepest sympathy to Elizabeth, Crawford and Jack for the departure of Manolo. Though I have never met you or Manolo, I always heard such wonderful things about him through his cousin Marta. She shared with me the summer vacations growing up in Puerto Rico and of course the wonderful birthday celebration last september of his father's 80th. In fact, I recall at a restaurant Marta saying, "that guy looks like my cousin Manolo." It so happened that the gentleman was also Cuban.
Having heard so many wonderful things about him, I feel life will be less complete for not having met him. My blessings to all the family. Joel

When Manny would call the Seattle office, before he would ask for who he needed to speak with, he would always ask me how I was. Not how is the receptionist in the Seattle office, but how I was. I will remember his bright voice and I will always miss hearing it.

My deepest sympathy to Manny's wife, children and family. I worked with Manny for several years at DLR Group in Tampa and Orlando. He was one of the cheeriest men I knew and always made any business function a wonderful time. He was a bright light in whatever room he graced. I hadn't spoke to Manny for almost 2 years, and thank god, I called him less than two weeks ago. I was looking forward to the opportunity of reconnecting and working with him again. I am blessed to have spoken to him again. My deepest sympathy to you all, he was a truly wonderful man.

Manny,
I will miss your calls more than I can say. You always had encouraging words to say, and you always made me laugh. You understood when others didn't. I am glad I had the opportunity to work with you and will always remember the smile in your voice. Lynnette

A small tribute to Mr. Manny Suarez:
I had the great fortune of knowing Manny. He and I first met through the DLR Group many years ago. I remember being enamored with his personality and loved his accent. Over the years, particularly the last few, we worked closely on proposals, interviews and studies. He flew from Orlando to Minneapolis and sometimes Milwaukee for our client meetings. He loved our work in Portage County Wisconsin because it gave him an opportunity to taste his beloved Point beer. And everytime he came to the north we had to stop at Culvers for the famous butter burger. He reminisced about his college days, how by being a college assistant he made almost as much money as an architect intern and he didn’t have to work nearly as hard. He even talked of driving his Volkswagen to Florida, I think that is what he said. I was just finding out about his love of Delta Blues and original rock and roll, and he was going to get me a CD of some obscure musician he was sure I needed to hear.
He was quick with the wit and always funny. He really cared about his work and his family and he shared of himself. When he was with me I was keenly aware that he was away from his family and I appreciated his willingness to help me with some convoluted study or client. I hope as his wife and children read this note in some way they feel my gratitude for the time I spent with him and you shared him with me. I know he loved you, you can see it in a father like Manny. I noticed holes in the bottoms of his penny loafers one day, not big mind you…but they were sure signs of his willingness to spend his money on more important things like his family.
I loved Manny and will miss him. I hope to see him again someday.

I met Manny only a few times but enjoyed every visit and every phone call. He was an exceptionally bright and talented man but also a considerate, endearing man who acknowledged talent in other people. I enjoyed our "world problem solving" chats and intellectual debates. He is dearly missed already. My condolences to his family, friends, and co-workers. I know that I am thankful for the precious few moments of my life that were spent with him. I am grateful that our life's paths crossed. I just wish I could have worked with him and shared more of his time and talent. May God comfort us all.
Manny, you finally get to see the world we often dreamed of - a world without locks and bars. I just wish it hadn't come so soon. We miss you. Pray for us, my dear brother.
My heart grieves...

My prayers go out to Mannie's wife and children. During the last four years of constructing the Alachua County Courthouse we have become good friends. I was looking forward to continuing the relationship for many years to come.

My deepest sympathy to all of you. I knew Manny for only a brief period of time (we were pursuing a project together), but I regarded him as a friend and I am deeply saddened by his passing. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am deeply saddened by your loss. I did not know Manny as well as some in the DLR Group, but on the few occasions that we saw each other (Annual Principals Meeting or his occasional visits to Phoenix), he always had a smile. I could see that he really enjoyed what he was doing and could boost the spirits of others. I'll miss him. My sincere condolences to his family.
