I first remember Aunt Nancy standing in my front yard with my mom, Priscilla, talking to my neighbor, Jeff who was a student of Aunt Nancy at J.C. Mitchell Elementary School in Boca Raton. Uncle Jack worked at Love Drugs in Boca. Aunt Nancy , Uncle Jack and Doug soon moved to Winter Park from there. Before they lived in Boca Raton they lived in Delray Beach next to my Mom and Dad in an apartment where they shared an outside tub washer with a clothe wringer. I have nothing but the fondest memories of visiting the Stringers at Fitzhugh Drive where they had a big ole shaggy dog called Tramp. Mom and Nancy loaded up us kids one night and we went to the movies where we saw Airport "77. In the movie the plane side blew out where passengers were sucked out of the plane. On they way home Mom was driving and Nancy was in the front seat and Mom lowered the window which created a suction that scared the heck out of Nancy. Big sisters! I couldn't ask for a better Aunt and Uncle and Cousins like the Stringers and I thank God daily for that.

Nancy was always an inspiration to me as a fellow "You Go Girl," and on living life beautifully, and with joy. Being with her, and sharing the loss of our beloved husbands, brought me a lot of comfort. I am confident that she has gone to a better place and that she is having a lot of fun reunited with Jack. Remembering how much the four of us (Ken Protonentis and Cynthia Remley) enjoyed each other's company, especially Ken and Jack over their predinner cocktails. Photo taken July/Aug. 2015 at one of their favorite restaurants on Park Ave.
