Philip Frederick Gabler

GABLER, PHILIP FREDERICK, 88, formerly of Winter Park, died April 15, 2004, in Greensboro, NC. Born May 27, 1915, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Philip F. and Mabelle Smith Gabler. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Miller Gabler, in 1978. He was a veteran of WWII and served with the U.S. Navy Seabees. He served for several years as the Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce in Winter Park, where he raised his family. He is survived by his daughters, Patricia G. Marks and husband George of Jamestown, NC, Linda Gablez of Greensboro, NC and Lisa G. Daeke and husband Alan of Wake Forest, NC; grandchildren Meredith Marks, Andrew Marks, Katie Daeke and Konrad Daeke.
