Althea Jakubowski Obituary
Althea met her husband Robert (Bob) Jakubowski in Milwaukee, and they married at St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church in Lakewood. They were married for nearly 69 years until his death two years ago. Bob and Althea had three children: Robert, Diane, and Thomas.
Althea worked as a Registered Nurse, and later as an office manager at Casey Manufacturing. She was an experienced seamstress, making clothing for herself and her children.
Althea passed away on November 9, 2024 surrounded by family. She was pre-deceased by her husband Bob; brother, Cletus Schmitt; and sisters, Carol Koenig, and Sister Mary Claudia.
She is survived by her three children and their spouses: Dr. Robert Jakubowski (Dr. Laura Torres), Diane Jakubowski (Albert Francesco), and Thomas (Jennifer) Jakubowski; six grandchildren: Dr. Robert Jakubowski (Dr. Shruti Puri), Vincent and Peter Francesco, and T.J. and Casey Jakubowski; and one great grandchild, Luca Jakubowski. Althea is also survived by brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Frank, Joyce, and Janet Jakubowski and Beverly Schmitt.
A Memorial Mass presided by Father Jerry Pastors will take place at Most Blessed Sacrament (St. Mary's site) on November 18 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 until the start of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Fund in Althea's name will be established.
