Karon Himmler Obituary

Karon "Snoopy Lady" Kay (Evanson) Himmler, age 84, of Oshkosh, passed away on September 8, 2025. She was born 20 minutes after her twin sister, Sharon, on May 27, 1941, to parents, Newell and Irean (Tadych) Evanson, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

She graduated from Oshkosh High School and then married the love of her life. Leonard "Lenny" Himmler on October 22, 1960. Karon and Lenny owned and operated Himmler's Sewing Machine Sales and Repairs for over 30 years. Together, they raised three children, until his passing in 2016. They were married for 57 years.

Karon was known as the "Snoopy Lady," to many. She had everything from clothing to telephones and Christmas decorations all with Snoopy on them. She was even featured in the local newspaper for being a number one fan. She rescued over 21 shelter dogs and helped everyone she could. In her younger days, she tried every sport imaginable at least once, including horseback riding on her sister's horse, Dutchess. Her passion was to teach others how to sew- including a free lesson with each sewing machine purchased. She was also very knowledgeable about alterations and converting wedding dresses into christening gowns or to donate as gowns for babies born sleeping.

She is survived by her children, John Himmler, Donald "Don" Himmler and Shaune Himmler; grandchildren, Jacob (Karla) Himmler, Hailey Himmler, Heather (Josh) Persching, Andrew (Keagen) Buege, Hannah Buege and James Buege; great-grandchildren, Noah Persching, Iris, Ivy and Lilly Himmler and Brinleigh and Callan Buege; godchild, Tim (Grace) Oliver; twin sister, Sharon Oliver; sister-in-law, Marie Evanson (Kansas City); great friends, Julia Hanson and Anne Zeimet; and many wonderful cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceding her in death was her parents, Newell and Irean (Tadych) Evanson; brother, Ronald Evanson; parents-in-law, Herbert "Harry" and May (Hartwell) Himmler; sisters-in-law, Delores, Ellen, Joan, Agnes, Janet Himmler and Charolette Himmler; brothers-in-law, Robert, Harry, Herbert and Jack "the heavy horseman" W. Oliver.

Per her wishes, no formal service will be held. The family will have a private gathering at a later date. Karon's final resting place will be with her beloved husband, Lenny at Lake View Memorial Park Cemetery, Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Croix Hospice and the Avina (Cross-Roads) Home in Fond du Lac, as well as Father Jerry Pastors, for all of their care and compassion.

So sorry to hear of Karon´s passing. We grew up living across the street from each other.
I tried to contact her on her birthday this year, but her phone was full. I also tried contacting Sharon, but to no avail
Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Aunt Karon, you will be very much missed. I Loved your infectious Laugh, and you were quite the jokester. Good Memories of you and Uncle Lenny visiting us up in Tomahawk. And the Dear visit I had with you about a month ago.
