Michael Norton Obituary
Anyone that knew Mike, they know his passion was Politics. He devoted his life to trying to help others through the government venue.
Michael was the Winnebago County Board supervisor representing District 20 and served as a member for 23 years. He served on numerous committees such as Diversity Affairs Commission, was Chair on the Park and Recreation Committee, Committee on Committees, Vice Chair Legislative committee, Vice Chair on Board of Health Committee, Vice Chair Human Services Board, Wisconsin Counties Association on Health & Education Committee, and National Association of Counties (Health & Education). Mike, please forgive us if we missed any.
Mike started the "Annual Wheelchair Wash" and Co-chaired the program with Beth Roberts, Director of ADRC. This program helps residents make sure their wheelchair is serviced and cleaned to ensure their safety.
He is survived by his father, James (significant other Kathy) Norton Sr.; siblings, Carol Norton, James (Julie) Norton Jr., Tammy (significant other Les) Monday, Donald (JoAnn) Norton. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, aunt, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Bernice Norton.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

I worked at Target the same time he work there....he was very quiet and kind of shy I thought. I would say 'Hi' to him whenever I saw him either at Target or at Pic & Save when I saw him working there.

Thinking back to the years of softball coaching Mike provided back when we were kids. Grateful for his service to the community, and all the good work he did.
