Beatrice Morado Obituary

Beatrice "Bea" Morado, 83, of Midland, formerly of Bay City, died unexpectedly Sunday evening, Oct, 30, 2011. as a result of a pedestrian-auto accident in Midland. She was born Dec. 23, 1927 in Henryetta, Okla., daughter of the late Francisco and Manuala (Mendez) Ornelas. She was married to Antonio Morado. He preceded her in death in February of 1966. Mrs. Morado attended St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church for many years and lately was attending the Trinity Community Church, both in Midland.

Bea is survived by her sons, Edward (Jennifer) Morado of Midland, Cruz (Christina) Morado of Fenton, and Oscar (Laura) Morado of Saginaw; two daughters, Dora Morado of Saginaw, and Elizabeth Jones of Lexington, Ky.; five brothers; five sisters; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Bea was preceded in death by a daughter, Esther (Morado) Sevilla; and one brother.

The funeral services will take place at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, from North Pointe Ministries, 5920 Jefferson Ave., Midland. Pastor Denny Heath of the Trinity Community Church will officiate, with inurnment at 2 p.m. in St. Patrick Cemetery in Bay City. Bea's family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of services. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Directors, 1200 W. Wheeler St., Midland. There will not be visitation at the funeral home.

Ed and family:

I worked with Ed at Dow Chemical and he always spoke so highly of his mother and cared deeply about her. From his stories she seemed like a person you could really like.

Bea was such an awesome woman, always a smile on her face...I will miss her coming into the Salon at Cleveland Manor, with kind words and a hug before she left. My sympathy to her family and friends. She will be missed by many and thought of often.

We were so sorry for the loss of your mother Bea. Our mother Joanne Sullivan Beach was a very dear friend of her's at Riverside Place for many years. Bea was so kind ,She was full of stories of her children and grandchildren.She and mom stuck together at Riverside Place having lunch together and spending many hours together at each of their appartments.
