Bruce Chisholm Obituary
Bruce Anderson Chisholm, a lifelong resident of Midland, MI, died on July 13, 2023, after a brief illness. He was born on October 18, 1947, in Midland; the only son of Charles and Thelma (Anderson) Chisholm.
Bruce graduated from Midland High School in 1965 and worked for The Dow Chemical Company, retiring in 2001 after 35 years of dedicated service. He was an avid golfer and bowler, and he enjoyed a good Sudoku or crossword puzzle. He loved to travel and to hang out with his buddies at Decker's Lounge. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who loved spending time with his family.
Bruce married Theresa Marie Maxwell on July 17, 1965. She still survives him along with his son Charles Chisholm (Erin); his daughters Lori Hillabrand (David), Amy Chisholm, and Cari VanKosky (Craig Beutler); his grandchildren Rachel Hillabrand, Sarah Hillabrand Scholtz (Travis), Tiffany Livengood, Anthony Chisholm, Jessica Chisholm, Brandon Chisholm, Amber Chisholm, Veronica VanKosky, and Zane Vankosky; his sisters Diana Bommarito, Karen Hahka, and Jeri Kerkau; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and his son Bruce "Chip" Chisholm.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 W. Wheeler St., Midland. Visitation will be Monday, July 17, 2023, from 4-7 PM and on Tuesday one hour prior to the service. Burial New Calvary Cemetery, Midland.
Memorials in Bruce's name may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
