Dear Laura and David, we were so sorry to hear this sad
news. Your mom and I met the summer we were 10 years old .She and Mary and i would walk up to the Track at Central and your mom would run really fast and jump over all those hurdles that seemed to be 4 feet high. Mary and I
would watch in awe.
And she could sing…..we would harmonize(?) many years
later when they all came to Maine we sat on the deck and
your mom and dad would sing so sweetly.

Connie and I were classmates from kindergarten through high school. Our parents were friends too. We continued to see each other through the years at reunions and planning sessions. She was a wonderful girl and woman. I played all the sports and she was active in cheerleading and girls sports it was called GAA, for girls athletic assn. if memory serves me correctly. (basically inter murals since girls didn't compete with other school) so we saw each other all the time. Socially, a group of ten or so of us hung out together too. We had fun times and their were no boy friend - girl friend relations all the way through high school. Looking back, it seems pretty amazing compared to today's youth.

We are very sorry that we won't be able to make it to Midland on Friday. We have a trip coming up to see our two married kids in the Minneapolis area early Saturday morning so Friday will just be too busy. I know I will never forget her - she was such a good friend!

Sincerely, Ron Finch
