Glenn Marsh Obituary

Glenn W. Marsh, 77, of Auburn, died late Monday afternoon, May 7, 2007, at Brian's House, Bay City with his family by his side.

He was born the son of the late Chester A. and Lucille E. (Oswald) Marsh, March 6, 1930, in Bay City and had resided in this area all his life. He worked and retired from General Motors Powertrain, Bay City after 40 yrs of service. He was a member of Auburn United Methodist Church, and Y.M.C.A., where he was active in swimming and paddleball. He wintered in Florida, and was an active and loving grandfather. On Jan. 22, 1948, he married Alvera Wegener, she predeceased him in 2001.

On June 28, 2003, he married Gracia E. Marsh, she survives him. Also surviving are five children, Ronald Marsh, Kim (Donna) Marsh, Sandy (Dave) Royal, Wayne (Debbie) and Marsh, Kenneth (Julie) Marsh; 11 grandchildren, Nick, Justin, Kristin, Megan, Kyle, Bradley, Jonathan, Allison, Shane, MaKenna, and Madison; seven stepchildren, Del (Bonnie) Marsh, Sue Plessner, Nancy (Andy) Behmlander, Bruce Marsh, Brian (Audrey) Marsh, Sally (Terry) Grzegorczyk, and Linda (Chris) Ambrose; many step-grandchildren; many step great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joan Hastedt of Saginaw, and Jane (Jerry) Grove of Bay City; and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by one grandson, Nathaniel; four brothers, John, Tom, Gene and Clyde; and one sister, Donna Rupp.

Funeral and committal services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2007, at Auburn United Methodist Church (Auburn Rd. and Elm St.). The Rev. Lawson D. Crane will officiate. Private burial will be in Home Cemetery, Monitor Township.

Glenn's family will receive friends at the Auburn Chapel of the Cunningham-Taylor Funeral Homes, Inc. on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m., on Thursday from 1 to 8 p.m., and on Friday morning, Glenn will lie in state at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Those planning an expression of sympathy, envelopes for Auburn United Methodist Church or Brian's House will be available at the funeral home.

Aunt Gracia and family,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Uncle Glen will always be remembered by so many for his great personality and his sense of humor.
