Lyle Elizabeth Woods, 82 of Midland, died Saturday morning, February 7, 2026, at King's Daughters Home in Midland.
She was born April 9, 1943, in Saginaw, daughter of the late Donald J. and Elizabeth "Betty" Macdonald. In 1961, she married John W. Woods in Midland. Lyle retired from the former Giant Grocery Stores in Midland after many years as a cashier.
She is survived by her sons, Michael (Dawn) Woods, Thomas (Dorrine) Woods, and Stephen (Jennifer) Woods; grandchildren, Anne (Neil) Schock, Leslie (Jamie) Licht, Seth Woods, Matthew (Nicole) Woods, Bethany (Karson) Mudd, Sean (sig. other Brittany Bradfield) Woods, Zachary Woods, and Marc Woods; 17 great grandchildren; a brother, James (Kathy) Macdonald; sisters-in-law, Rose (Pat) Casey and Chris (Rob) Randall, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Woods in June 2001, and an infant son, Daniel Woods.
Funeral services for Lyle will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Messiah Church, 1550 S. Poseyville Rd. with Pastor Dennis Kreil officiating.
Interment will take place in Homer Township Cemetery. Lyle's family will receive friends at the church on Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. until time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider King's Daughters Home, Messiah Church, or the Donor's favorite charity. The family wishes to extend their thanks to Kings Daughters for the excellent care shown their loved one.
