Michael Ray Erickson passed away unexpectedly in his home on December 11, 2021. He was born May 1, 1965 in Great Lakes, Illinois. He is the son of Raymond H. Erickson and Phyllis J. Erickson.
Mike graduated in 1984 from Merrill High School. He then went on to start his career as an IBEW local 692 Journeyman Electrician. Mike also pursued his entrepreneurial nature while helping his father start their family business, which is running strong to this day; Mike's country grocery has flourished as a prime pizza place and convenience store in Bullock Creek, Michigan for decades. Mike then met his wife Robin Fell Erickson. They were married in Lansing, Michigan on May 22, 1994. Mike and Robin loved spending time with their two boys Timothy and Zachary. They also enjoyed camping, boating, and spending time with family and friends. Mike loved collecting cars, toys, and window shopping for boats, cabins, and campers. Mike was currently a project manager, and mentor, at Serve Electric.
Mike is survived by his wife Robin Erickson, sons Timothy (Lauren) LeTourneau, Zachary (Chrissy) LeTourneau, his mother Phyllis Erickson, brother James (Tina) Erickson, and sister Diane Erickson. To the five of them, he was Papa, some of his favorite people to be around were his grandchildren; Aidyn, Hudson, Vaeda, Alliyah, and Lincoln LeTourneau. He cherished his niece, Olivia Erickson, and two nephews, Joseph and William Erickson.
He was preceded in death by his father Raymond Erickson, and sister Ann-Marie Erickson-Gates
A funeral visitation will be held at Smith-Miner in Midland, MI on Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 10 AM to 12 PM. In lieu of flowers for those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the children and family life services at C.S. Motts Children's Hospital.
