Pamalee Schofield, age 76, of Sanford, Michigan, passed away on Saturday May 31, 2025, surrounded by family. She was born in Midland, Michigan on June 5, 1948, to parents William Fishtorn and Wanda Kelsey. In 1968 Pamalee married Ron Schofield and together they had three children.
Pamalee was a hardworking woman all her life. After graduating from Meridian High School in 1966, she went on to work as a clerk for Pendell Printing until her retirement in 2005. After retirement, Pamalee went on to become a full-time grandma, lovingly called Noni by those close to her.
Pamalee's free time was often spent with family and her furry friend Snickers. She was also known to keep the neighborhood birds well fed and enjoyed her afternoons watching them from the window.
Pamalee is survived by her children, John (Shelly) Schofield of Cheyenne, WY, and Jamee (Marc Robinson) Young of Sanford; her grandchildren, Kelsey (Jeremy Keyes) Young of Midland, Korrina (Brian Piechocki) Young of Sanford, Autumn (Eric) Hicks of Livonia, Brandi Robinson of Jackson, Chase Robinson of Gladwin, Cianna Schofield of Oak Harbor, WA, Christian Schofield of Cheyenne, WY, Pauline (Brad) Perkins of St. Charles; her great-grandchildren, Wesley Hicks of Livonia and Mahkenna Miiller of St. Charles. Also Surviving Pamalee is her sister Lana (Neil) Varner as well as in-laws Chuck and Luana Finney along with Bud and Denise Scott.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Schofield; her daughter, Marnie Schofield; her parents, William Fishtorn and Wanda Kelsey; her siblings, Chester Gombosi, Douglas Fishtorn, Tim Fishtorn, Colleen Geiling, and sister-in-law Cindy Barrett.
In accordance with Pamalee's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
