Paul Ritter Obituary

Paul Ritter Jr., 84, of Midland, died at Tendercare of Midland on Monday, June 4, 2007.

The son of the late Paul and Ruby Mae (Blank) Ritter was born on March 29, 1923, in Ionia. Paul served with the U.S. Navy during World War II as a fighter pilot. He married the former Ida Carrick in Midland in 1946. Paul managed the family business of Ritter Nursery and Signs until his retirement.

Paul is survived by his wife, Ida; son, Paul Ritter III of Forest Hill, La.; brothers, John (Norma) Ritter of Beaverton, James Ritter of Beaverton, and Peter Ritter of Midland; and sister, Joanne Machuta of Grand Rapids. He was predeceased by his sister, Beverly Crandell.

Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, June 8, 2007, from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with the Rev. Raymond Jacques, pastor of Homer United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Midland Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be offered to the Michigan Parkinson's Foundation. Personal messages of support may be left for the family at www.wilson-miller.com.
